So let’s assume that you have a website for your sports league. It’s a simple place to show schedules and other information, such as changes to said schedules, statuses of the fields or important deadlines for players and/or their players.

While they might keep track of their own teams’s stats, coaches need to know what the official numbers are. Players are obviously going to want to see how they stack up with the rest of the league individually. And teams are going to see how their upcoming opponents doing and how to best strategize to win.
So keeping track of those stats are vital. And keeping them online is huge.
Now, you could simply upload an excel spreadsheet to your website every week to keep everyone updated. But that’s slow, a lot of work for you and a hassle for everyone else.
